Embodying Resilience: Nervous System regulation through Yoga + Ayurveda

[REPLAY] In this 2.5 hour workshop + Q&A we will cover:

  • Ayurveda Basics: You will come away with the foundations of Ayurveda, understanding the basics such as the Doshas, the principle of opposites, and how this connects to the nervous system.
  • Nervous system 101: You will come away with a clear understanding of the fundamentals of the Nervous system, understanding the Autonomic and Somatic components.
  • Neurology Fundamentals: You will leave with a simplified understanding of neurology and how this plays a vital role in our lives, practices and teaching (if that's what you do). You will understand how this affects our mental and emotional health as well.
  • Polyvagal Theory + Vagus Nerve 101: You will come away with a clear understanding of the polyvagal theory, the vagus nerve and how it operates. You will understand the workings and manifestation of how your nervous system is wired, and simple principles from Yoga + Ayurveda to help you create balance and move into regulation.
  • The Polyvagal connection to the Gunas: Here we will bridge the gap between the "east and the west." You will come away with an understanding of the intersection between nervous system science and the Gunas, and how to practically apply this to our teaching and our lives
  • Creating balance + supporting ourselves and our students: You will be given actionable tools and practices you can use to support your body and mind based on the state of your nervous system, and how to support your clients with the same.
