Calm your nervous system, take control of your mind, and deepen your practice + teaching

Taking wisdom from the Ayurveda, and Yogic meditation practices, The Presence Project was created to help you calm your anxiety, create a personal meditation practice, and ultimately, more presence within your life.

Does this resonate with you?

  • You struggle with constant stress, and what you would call "high functioning anxiety." You're able to make it through the day, and complete your daily tasks, but there is this persistent feeling of anxiety and overwhelm in the background.

  • You find it hard to be present with people, focus on your work and get things done; your mind is constantly worrying about the future, or looking into the past

  • It is difficult to fall asleep at night because your mind is racing, and overthinking

  • You find yourself going down the rabbit hole of your own mind, conjuring up worst case scenarios and fearing the unknown

  • You like the idea of meditating but you have no idea where to start and feel overwhelmed by all the options.. Where to begin?!

If you were nodding your head at anything I just mentioned, you are in the right place, and certainly are not alone.

Here's the thing - there is *actually* a system and methodology to a meditation practice.

You don't just *sit down and empty your mind*

You don't just drop into some state of infinite bliss...

There is nothing "wrong with you" - you've just never been taught.

You just need to learn the right steps + process.

So, if you want to take radical ownership over your mind and your life...

...learn the tools and cultivate the ability to be in control over your anxiety

...understand the simple but *powerful* methods of meditation from Yoga and Ayurveda

...create a calm mind amidst whatever chaos is happening in the world

...have the ability to catch yourself in the middle of an anxious thought spiral

The Presence Project is for you.

Seriously, like take a moment and imagine this for a second...

You wake up in the morning after a good night sleep because you didn't stay up past midnight either in an anxious spiral, OR scrolling through instagram to numb your mind.

Instead of reaching for your phone, you get out of bed, brush your teeth, have a cup of hot water with lemon, and sit down for an aligned meditation practice to start your day.

You're not stressed and anxious about how long it is, wondering if it's the right practice for you - not searching through youtube or some random meditation app for the "best" practice. You're tapped into EXACTLY what kind of practice you need.

You feel grounded and aligned as you begin your day, not like a hot mess, LOL!

Then, whether you head off to work, or aren't currently working (we're all headed to the living room let's be honest) you are able to focus, and be present with your tasks.

You observe your fluctuating emotions throughout the day, and rather than having them totally take you out, you know how to observe them, sit with them, and use them as an opportunity for practice.

Then, when it's time for bed, your head hits the pillow and you more easily fall asleep because you're not worrying and over thinking.

*Deep Exhale*.. What would that be like for you?

This is all absolutely possible for you, with the *right* meditation practice for YOU, and the right off-the-mat tools.

 How do I know?

Let me share with you my story...

In 2013 I sustained one of the worst concussions of my life, during a rugby game. This concussion left me with what felt like uncontrollable anxiety.

I would lay awake at night unable to fall asleep because my mind was racing. I felt like I couldn't shut it off.

I struggled to maintain relationships because my anxious mind kept wandering, and sabotaging my best efforts to sustain them.

Sure, I was able to maintain my job, and complete the basic functions of daily life, but I walked around with a constant ball in my throat, and anxious feelings in my body and mind every day.

On the outside, I seemed totally fine.

But on the inside, I felt like the shell of the person I once was. It felt like anxiety defined me.

In an effort to relieve my anxiety, I found myself drawn to meditation and Eastern philosophy.

I began studying and practicing traditional buddhist meditation, and eventually fell in love with the Yogic and Ayurvedic traditions.

Since then, I have become a certified Ayurvedic Counsellor, Meditation teacher, and have made it my mission to support high performing people who struggle with anxiety to take control over their minds, and harness their energy using the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda.

I'm a huge believer, that when we combine the wisdom of Ayurveda with these traditional meditation practices, magic happens.

Meditation was the first thing that helped me take control over my anxiety, and the catalyst for greater spiritual change

The Presence Project methodology was the first practice I did that truly made an impact on my levels of anxiety.

Here's what happened after I cultivated a daily meditation practice and implemented the steps I teach in The Presence Project:

  • I am more in control of my thoughts and emotions rather than having them control me
  • I feel more calm, and easeful throughout the day
  • I have a greater ability to respond rather than react in certain situations that made me feel hurt, angry or sad
  • I am able to fall asleep at night without an anxious, wandering mind
  • I am able to catch myself in the middle of an anxiety spiral, sit with that discomfort, and move forward without it completely derailing my day
  • I am more present with my daughter and my family, and my work

But getting to this point was a challenge, because honestly when I first started meditating I was approaching it totally wrong.

Tell me if this sounds familiar:

  • You sit down to meditate, close your eyes, and feel overwhelmed by how much your mind wanders.
  • You feel like you "suck" at meditation because you can't stop your thoughts from coming in.
  • You only practice when you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and it doesn't help you feel "better."

The Presence Project takes away all the confusion, and teaches you the simple process for beginning and deepening a meditation practice rooted in the Yogic path.
