Eat For Your Dosha Program Outline

EFYD is a 4 week online program  designed to help you discover the foods that work for you and your body, and find food freedom!

In 4 weeks you you will:

  • Understand the basics of Ayurveda and exactly what to eat for your unique mind-body type
  • Learn how to create the *perfect* meal and how to make *any* food work for your Dosha
  • Feel confident and at ease when going out to eat
  • Create food habits that create calm, vibrant energy in your mind, body and spirit
  • Never question or second guess your food choices again!

Program Outline

The program is broken down into the 4 modules that include short audio/video learning lessons, a workbook, and simple challenges to keep you on track!

Module 1: Discover Your Dosha + Create Good Habits

In week 1 we are getting clear on *when* to eat (because, fun fact, when we eat is just as important as *what* we eat):

  • What your dominant Dosha is + understanding the foods and energetic qualities that best support you 
  • Learning and discovering what I call the "secret sauce" of Ayurveda which has changed the GAME for me and my clients.
  • Establishing and creating routine around food to set you up for success before even changing *what * you eat. (ummm, yes please!)

Module 2: The Yogi Fuel Method + Align with Your Unique Ayurvedic  Blueprint

Now that we've established a good routine and have the basics, in week 2 we are going deeper into *what* to eat. You will learn:

  • The basics of the Yogi Fuel Method - my signature protocol that blends Ayurveda with Modern science to create a truly complete nutrition experience.
  • Learn my simple formula for creating a complete meal so you leave each meal feeling full, vibrant and energized, and never have to miss out on key nutrients again!
  • Understand what foods work for the Doshas and why (you will be given a complete breakdown and food guide to support you, and refer back to as needed)!

Module 3: Cultivating Prana + The Energetics of Food

In this module we go even deeper, and begin to see food beyond it's tangible nutrients and discover the subtle energetics at play within our food. You will learn:

  • The energetics of food and how they align with the gunas
  • How to source, prepare and eat food to optimize prana and it's subtle energy
  • A simple mantra to infuse your food with prana anytime, anywhere

Module 4: Working with the 6 Tastes + Spices for your Dosha

In this module we will be building on everything we've learned, and learn how to work with the 6 taste, + spices for our unique constitution. You will learn:

  • What the 6 tastes are, how to incorporate them at each meal, and why we should actually have dessert FIRST, ummmm YES PLEASE!
  • The main spices that work for your Dosha and how to use them
  • Sneaky ways to add spices to literally anything (yes, even cakes, cookies and smoothies)!

1. Intermittent Fasting for the Doshas

 Intermittent Fasting has become very trendy, but as with all things Ayurveda there is NO "one-size-fits-all" approach. In this workshop I'll be sharing how to approach IF based on your Dosha so you can use this protocol safely, and the Ayurvedic view and purpose of intermittent fasting.

2. Fad Diets and the Doshas

Paleo? Vegan? Keto? Raw Vegan? There are so many diet trends and labels that. have helped people achieve great results, but what does Ayurveda say?

In this workshop I'm covering some of the main diet "fads" and sharing the Ayurvedic approach to them.

Meet Your Teacher

Hi! If we're just meeting, I'm Mel. 

Ayurvedic Wellness Counsellor, Meditation Teacher (and trainer), and Founder + Creator of Yogi Fuel.

I've been in the wellness industry for over a decade *impressive whistle* and I've been interested in health and wellness for as long as I can remember. 

When it comes to nutrition, I've been around the block. I've done all the diets - paleo, keto, raw vegan, grain-free, gluten-free, Whole 30 - I even went to nutrition school, and if I'm being honest I still struggled with feel fully aligned with my food.

I felt like no matter what I ate, or what diet I followed, something was "off."

I'd had great success with weight loss, with great muscle definition (even abs at one point), but (TMI here), my digestion was off, I was bloated, gassy, and not pooping regularly. Things just didn't feel right.

I wasn't feeling more energized, I was actually feeling more tired, and was watching my disordered eating patterns creep back in...

I started to feel more stressed, anxious and tired even just THINKING about what to eat.

Believe me when I say I tried #allthethings, but it wasn't until I discovered Ayurveda and it's simple principles that things really shifted for me.

I started making changes that were in alignment with my Dosha, and the Ayurvedic eating principles and VOILA, I had the best of both worlds.

I had returned to my normal weight, still had great muscle definition, I had controlled my anxiety + stress AND I was having fabulous poops.

HUZZAH! I had cracked the code!

This stuff changed my life, and it is my mission to bring this to as many people as possible.

After going from anxious, stressed and exhausted in my early twenties (with no child and lets be real, no looming responsibility), to vibrant, energised and calmer in my early thirties with a hella energetic 4 year old, in a global pandemic, I think I am living proof of this ancient wisdom working it's magic in modern times.
